I looked up the definition of inspiration and it had the most wonderful definition. It read that inspiration is, "the act or power of moving the mind or the emotions." Some things in our world are SO powerful that they have the ability to INSPIRE us, or move our mind and emotions. The beautiful thing is different things INSPIRE each of us.
As a writer, writing about my INSPIRATIONS comes easy. Because when I think about things that INSPIRE me, ideas and images come flooding to my mind and emotions run through my heart. Usually my pencil (or keyboard) can't keep up with my mind!

1. Tuna- Tuna is my beloved pet dog. He is eleven years old. When I think about all the good times we have shared, I think of so many stories to write.
2. Owen- Owen is my nephew. He lives in Florida and I don't see him nearly enough. He is learning new things every day. I could write about his journeys!
3. Mr. Horsley- Mr. Horsley and I have had some fun adventures. When I think about those adventures, I think about all the things I could write about him!
4. The Beach- The beach is my favorite place. I love to write about the beach (poems, songs, paragraphs) and I also love to write AT the beach.
5. Art- I love to look at art of all types. Many pieces of art are so beautiful that they inspire me to write. Some of my favorite pieces of art are hanging in the halls of North Landing!
Most of the things that inspire you inspire me to is that cool or what.

ReplyDelete1. The first thing that inspires me is animals. Animals inspire me because each animal has a conection with another.
2. The second thing that inspires me are dreams. Dreams inspire me because you could have a happy, sad, adventures, or even just a regular dream.You never know whats going to happen.
3. The third thing that inspires is events in life. Some of the events in my life bring back a whole story of what happened.
4. Another thing is books. You know just some books you get a hold of, you write a new version in your perspective. I kind of did it in first grade the book was called "Kings Rim".
5. One of the last things that inspires me is everyday things. Think of the auther who wrote Hugo. He probaly saw Big Ben. Then he thougt a poor kid who did have parents could live there and man the clocks.

ReplyDelete1.Puppy-Puppy is my cat. When I look at him, I think,"What if people had cat features?". It inspires me to write about fantasy and myth, which is my favorite genre of writing.
2.Artwork-It's what powers me to work. When I look at a picture that I have downloaded I think to myself,"Could I write a label for this?". Maybe, maybe not.
3.Games-Games are one of the things that compel me to what it's about and make me wonder if I could write about a creature or another character in the story.
4.Friends-They one of the most important things in my life. I consider putting my friends or characters that are based on my friends in a story I am about to make.
5.Me!-I think my own personality can be based on the things I write about. I can imagine myself as a cat-girl, a girl with the element of lighning, or even a traveler like Bobby Pendragon and his companions in the series Pendragon by D.J Machale.

DeleteSome things that inspire me are other books i've read, my friends and family, video games, vacations i've had, my awesome cat (his name is sockeye), and some of my drawings i've made, ect... There is a ton more stuff that inspires me but i can't type it all. You are awesome Mrs.Horsly :)
